Electroepilation

Electroepilation, also known as electrolysis, is a method of permanent hair removal that uses an electric current to destroy individual hair follicles. In this procedure, a thin needle or probe is inserted into the hair follicle and a short electric shock is delivered, which damages the follicle and thus prevents hair from growing back. This method is particularly effective as it treats each hair individually and therefore ensures very precise hair removal.

Electroepilation is often chosen as an option when other hair removal methods such as waxing, sugaring or laser hair removal do not achieve the desired results or are not applicable. This may be the case for hair that is too fine or too light for laser treatment, or for people whose skin type is not suitable for laser treatment. Since electroepilation does not depend on the color of the hair or skin, it is a universal method that is suitable for all hair and skin types.

A major advantage of electroepilation is its ability to achieve long-lasting results. However, the treatment requires multiple sessions over an extended period of time to ensure that all hair follicles are treated at different stages of their growth cycle. Although electroepilation is considered safe, it can lead to side effects such as redness, swelling or even scarring if not performed properly. It is therefore important to have this procedure carried out by an experienced professional.
