Epilation refers to the process of hair removal in which hair is removed from the skin together with its root. This differs from methods that only remove the hair superficially, such as shaving. Epilation offers a longer-lasting solution for smooth skin, as the hair takes some time to grow back. There are various methods and types of epilators to achieve this goal, including epilators with tweezers and needle epilators.
Tweezer epilators are electric devices that use multiple small tweezers or rollers to grab and pull out hair as they pass over the skin. These devices are effective for removing hair from legs, arms, and other areas of the body. Using an epilator like this can be uncomfortable at first, but many people get used to the feeling over time and appreciate the long-lasting results.
Needle epilators, also known as electro epilators, use a completely different technique. Electroepilation involves inserting a fine needle into each hair follicle and applying a small electric current to permanently destroy the follicle. This method is often used for more precise areas such as the face or for hair that is too fine for other epilation methods. Electroepilation can lead to permanent hair removal, but usually requires several treatments over a longer period of time.
Both methods, the epilator with tweezers and the needle epilator, offer effective ways to remove hair, but differ in their application, pain sensation, duration of results and cost. The choice between these methods depends on individual needs, skin sensitivity, the area to be treated and personal preferences.
