Sweating and heat can irritate the skin immediately after treatment. Therefore, training, sauna and steam bath should be paused for 24-48 hours. Light everyday activities are permitted. As soon as the skin has calmed down, you can return to your normal routine.
Yes – shaving is allowed and even recommended as long as the hair root is not removed. Methods such as waxing, sugaring or epilating should be avoided as they delay the effect. It is better not to shave for 1-2 days after treatment to avoid irritation.
The results are long-lasting. After completing the recommended sessions, the hair will no longer grow back in the treated area. Over time, fine hairs may occasionally appear, which can be removed with a short refresher treatment. We recommend a refresher every 1-1.5 years.
During laser hair removal, we work with very targeted light pulses. Each type of laser has a specific wavelength (e.g. 755, 810 or 1064 nm) that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair. The light is converted into heat and directed precisely to the structures that are responsible for hair production, around the hair root. The heat damages these areas so much that they can no longer form new hairs in the long term. That is why it is called permanent hair removal.
With laser hair removal, there are a few clear situations in which we are not allowed to treat, as well as some cases in which we need to take a closer look beforehand. If you have been to a tanning salon shortly before or are taking light-sensitizing medication, the appointment should always be postponed.
